CAYLIN SPEAR

Caylin Spear is a local artist and teacher on the island of Kaua`i.  Her love of art began at a young age in Raleigh, North Carolina and continued after graduating with a visual arts Bachelor's degree from Bennington College in Vermont and the Cyprus College of Art postgraduate program in Europe.  After traveling the world, Caylin came back Kaua`i, where her love of the ocean had began.  Caylin received a Masters in Fine Art in 2013 from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.  She has been teaching art for the past 20 years and volunteers through different organizations on Kaua`i.  She is an active and inspiring artist and surfer in her community, despite her physical challenges as an above the knee amputee from birth.  Her artwork is located on the west side of Kaua`i and here.
